[The boy using North's Gear looks about 16, with a rounder face and a shoulder-length mane of perfectly straight, impossibly silky-looking white-blond hair. The blue eyes are the same, but younger and less haunted.]
So... I think the "this is not my house" reaction is probably pretty common, but I've never been able to use a tablet in a dream before so I guess I'm just checking this out. You know, is this a dream? Because, uh, if it's not then I really need to get home. I've got a World History final today and I was gonna cram in the library in first period...
[He combs his hair behind his ear, then looks down next to him.]
And, um, if this i-is your house, or your...static electricity cat, I'm sorry, I don't know how I woke up here, I promise.
There's so many cute animals though...
Anyway, so yeah, if anyone could help me get home before my sister for sure kills me, that'd be great!
Action
[Alternately, run into a 6' twiggy teenager on his quest to explore the biggest city he's ever seen and also to try to find some clothes for somebody who couldn't bench-press a truck. He's being persistently followed by a Dragonair, Togetic, and Pidgeot, because Penne, Rascal, and Missy are not going to leave their trainer like this]

Feb. 11th, 2016 06:41 pm[...Eggs.
The living room is full of eggs. There are so many eggs. There are also a bunch of proud mamas, a Sylveon with her tail proudly aloft, a Floette sitting daintily on the back of the couch (upon which are temporarily piled six eggs, three with green flower-like markings and three with blue and red triangles), a Pikachu sitting on the arm of the couch overlooking a veritable MASS of yellow and black and orange and black eggs, and of course, a fussy Chansey lording over the whole affair like a waddling Florence Nightingale.
North himself is not visible, but he's certainly audible as he slowly pans over the overload of egg. So many egg.]
So as you may not know, I'm a designated breeder. I had to wait a while to start because a lot of my Pokemon to start with were babies. Meaning I had a few that were literal, "undiscovered egg group" babies.
Anyway, so if you're in the market for some eggs, maybe a present for that special someone or maybe just to treat yourself, I have a few here to choose from. Let's see, we've got... A veritable swarm of eggs over here, some Dedenne and some, uh, Pikachu? No, that's right, Pichu.
[Pikachu! Dahlia chirps, heart-shaped tail waving cheerfully as she monitors her brood.]
I experimented with my starter and my Floette, which, uh, I don't think ended up so well in the moves department. But there's both Togepi and Flabebe to choose from, so if you've been looking for one or the other I'm happy to oblige.
And then, the beautiful Charlotte over here [Sylvee!] has graciously provided a couple of little future Eevees, and also a Cubchoo courtesy of Addie.
And last but not least, I've got a couple Happiny eggs, from the indomitable Miss Cheerilee. Say hello, Cheeri. [Chansey Chansey!]
That's what I have, let me know if you're interested.
Oh- also, York still has a bunch of eggs. [Pan over to another little clutch of eggs in the corner.] I think a few Meowth, some Shinx, that one looks like a Sneasel... There's still some Elgyem, I know York and D-2 are proud of those, so I'd love to help them find good homes.
And it looks like York still has one Snubbull left for his baseball deal.
[His tone is disgustingly fond. Gag.]
Yeah. There we go. Plenty of eggs, ready to find good homes.
((OOC: North's egg post, and York's egg post! Lots of eggs still up for grabs on both!))

I haven't done this before but text is probably less intrusive and easier to ignore.
I'll go ahead and preface this by saying that even though this is public I hardly expect anyone to respond, I just needed to say it.
Back home, I have a twin sister. We've always done everything together, ever since we were kids, and we're 32.
33, on the 22nd. I've never had a birthday or Christmas without her. Even the years we were stationed apart, we made sure to call each other and
She was always the one who went around reminding people we knew that our birthday was coming up, but she also made sure that anyone who got her something had something for me too (though that also could have been so that she wouldn't have to share).
I miss her. Sorry I don't have any deep questions to ask or wisdom to seek, I just. Miss her. I'm happier here than I ever thought I could be, but there's a big part of me still missing. I know it supposedly gets easier, but I'm also scared that it will.
Anyway, thanks for reading this far. Merry Christmas, or Happy Holidays (just because Chanukah is over doesn't mean everyone else celebrates Christmas after all).
[A few minutes later; locked from York and Carolina]
Thought of a question I've been meaning to ask. I'm having a hard time picking out gifts for my partners. One of them is one of those people who's hard to buy for, and the other one I think would just be happy with anything, but that also makes him even harder to buy for because I want to do better than what he's expecting.
We've already done the round robin of egg-giving, so I'd prefer to get them something more than just more pokemon, but I'm not sure what else to get them. Any ideas?

[The only sound for a moment is the knock of the gear being tapped against something semi-hard, and similarly the only thing in focus is a white eggshell with the corners of red and blue shapes.
Also the sound of the 'Gear being chewed on. Omnomnomnom.]
Are you getting into trouble already, you little scamp?
[The voice is deep, warm, and affectionate.]
That's not food, here, let me trade you-
[The feed is a little smeared on one corner, and the camera unknowingly focuses on a large, pale hand offering one of thedonuts rice balls that Mom packs standard in her bento to a very small Togepi, who takes it in its little hands and shoves the whole thing into its mouth at once. The voice laughs offscreen, and the camera gets a closeup of his green overalls as he untucks his purple t-shirt to wipe the drool off the corner.
It's then that he notices that the camera's on, and finally brings his face into focus.]
...Sorry about that, I hope he didn't bother anybody.
